Thing with Jackson's 'presumptuous' statement is that he actually says " I think it would seem presumptuous of us to say that we are the only " and so on. So he gives himself away out with the work seem. I see this fact often glossed over, so technically it's still JW cover your ass speak.

The Seven Trumpets
by Jehovah lol inis it still watchtower dogma that the seven trumpets of revelation refer to seven conventions in the 1920s?
would many jws these days even be aware of this?
i find it so amusing that seven little conventions in the distant past, almost a century ago, could be equated with such an iconic biblical passage.

Attractive Sisters: what are you lurkers thinking right now?
by pomo6780 indear lurkers, you won't be disappointed by this topic.
when i was in the org, there was a strict dress code.
no woman was attractive, and when i was a young witness child i was conditioned to believe every woman in the world must be ugly.

Montreal area sisters, many are model beautiful. Usually snapped up quick by their early twenties and paired up with the best looking males. Then you get the leftovers : divorced, never married or big bossy types. Sad situation really. I could of gotten married a handful of times but the whole 'Spirtitual Routine'™ thing wore me done till there was nothing left to give. Good thing I stayed single in retrospect so I have a cat hehe..
Pomo : Yes for myself being the workaholic metal workshop owner operator being in JW was by far the one time in my life where I got the most exposure to attractive well dressed nice smelling women. The whole experience was bittersweet.

JW friend used to have summer school camps for mountain biking, would basically show kids by example how to disrespect others property by riding on top of it doing stunts, disregard common courtesy and nearly set a wooded area on fire involving the fire marshal to come and intervene before things got out of hand. All denied of course, because entitlement. Yes on using fellow JW's and other 'worldlings' pro-bono. Seems to be a thing with the über JW children's ( born-in ) crowd. Got used myself by Mr. Charisma. Cear as a bell to see once you step back and look at it all going down in a detached manner. Really glad you post Keith your input here is much appreciated by us all.

Thank-you Keith, as usual I'm shocked, upset, disappointed and disgusted. But not the least bit surprised. Friggen horrible. That job was worth 100 an hour in those conditions with Bro. Vampire's paying ability, at least !

Do you (or did you) have much of a social life as a Jehovahs Witness.
by UnshackleTheChains ini ask this question out of interest, because as a jehovahs witness for some 26 years, i have always felt that there is an 'all work, no play' culture within the organisation.
the organisation doesn't promote social gatherings.
i could count on one hand each year how many get togethers we have had.

In my case I've always preferred being in small groups and doing sports and outdoor stuff with friends so at times all the love bombing I got before baptism was almost too much for me to handle. Then as soon as I got dunked I was wife hunting which meant even more socialising™ and JW BS'ing. Hated it, felt like a prison. I'm basically a mountain man and a shop rat. Anyhow by my second or third year in English the big obese brother I studied with was trying to groom me into being an MS™ ( as his employee basically ) so I upped and left for the French hall closer to me where I could be left alone and Do Less™. Anyhow I brought both classic and skating technique cross country skiing to that first hall and even got some little groups out there skiing and mountain biking with me ( women !! ) Then in the french hall I was all about motocross and had a circle of younger brothers to ride with. We are all out now except for one young married plumber that was made elder in his late twenties. After having run into both him and his cute wife at the bike shop over the summer I later emailed I had DA'ed so no surprise when they both stopped talking to me or even taking walks down my street as they live close by.. Anyhow was fun while it lasted so Mr. Introvert aka Shop Rat here got to look at tons of women in tight skirts and smell their lovely perfume and oogle at assembly halls.
Still single.. hehe
